The majority of my family lives in Georgia. The sad thing is that I have not seen most of them since I was in middle school. Combine that with the fact that I am only a couple of years shy of my 40th birthday and it is even more ridiculous.
The main issue that I am having a problem with is the fact that they keep asking me to visit them and I am not sure how I will find time off work to do that. Everyone around me believes that I am avoiding it because the part of Georgia they live in is pretty low-key, but I live in the suburbs myself, so it is not like I am dead in the center of a huge metropolis.
I am interested in going there so I can experience the area as an adult. When I went there as a child, my family was pretty restrictive and they did not go to any of the places I would go to if I took a trip. For instance, I would have to spend at least one day in Atlanta checking out some of the restaurants that are there. I am not a huge fan of nightclubs, but I would probably head to one just to say that I did it.
Other than what I just mentioned, I would spend most of my time traveling to different parts of Georgia to see people. Winder, Monroe, Bethlehem and Atlanta are just a few of the cities and towns that are on my list. I think I am going to take a vacation in the next couple of years. I think I may go there instead of heading to any of the other places that are currently on my bucket list.
